As a global organization with software engineers working in multiple countries and time zones, Rocket Travel by Agoda has instituted global technical program management to coordinate more complex cross-time-zone projects and is able to provide technology coverage 24 hours a day. We have engineering teams in the United States, South America, Europe, and several APAC countries, collaborating to efficiently support our loyalty partners and their customers across the globe. Where feasible, we have adapted system ownership models to enable cross-hemisphere development and support, and we are also establishing global onboarding models to grow required skill sets in traditionally siloed system knowledge bases.

While communicating across global time zones can be challenging, we have leveraged our experience to develop these internal processes that ensure our teams operate effectively and collaboratively while supporting our partner's growth and adapting to any urgent issues that may arise, and we are constantly retrospecting to find more ways to help our teams balance the nuances of a global collaboration.
